A newborn baby was found wrapped in a plastic bag at a building entrance in Saudi Arabia, triggering a police hunt for the mother.
The baby was found by Abdul Hamid Al Samim, a resident of the building in the Eastern Dammam city, after he heard the tot crying.
“I have just stepped out of the building with my son when I heard a cry. I looked into the bag and saw the baby,” he told Ajel newspaper.
The baby is believed to have been born just a few hours when he was found.
A video published by the paper showed the baby was wrapped in blankets and his umbilical cord has not been cut.
