Dubai housemaid rescued by ‘good samaritans’

A 61-year-old housemaid in Dubai had collapsed early this week at the Oud Metha Metro Station.

Beryl D’silva has been working as a housemaid in Dubai for 20 years. Her husband abandoned her while her daughter has her own life now, according to a report of Khaleej Times.

She was helped by parishioners of St. Mary’s Catholic Church after she collapsed at the metro station.

It was found out that D’silva’s heart major valve was blocked and requires her to undergo open heart surgery.

Help poured in for the housemaid and even the Dubai Hospital took the case on compassionate grounds.

D’silva went to a successful surgery. The hospital also waiver her bill of Dh100,000.
