Former Calauan, Laguna Mayor and rape-murder convict Antonio Sanchez confirmed to GMA News that he was the man wearing a mask in an online photo that went viral in the wake of his possible release.
Sanchez said he went out of Bilibid to seek treatment in a hospital in Muntinlupa for his kidney disease.
“Yan anak ay sa Osmun hospital nang ako’y lumabas last year. Nilabas ako sa Osmun gawa ng kidney ko,” he told GMA’s John Consulta.
The photo also showed Sanchez with a woman.
Sanchez also denied reports he has been wearing lipstick and female skirt.
“Di sana nakita mo akong nakapalda ako saka lipstick. Ba’t naman ako magpapalda, eh, lalaking-lalaki ako,” Sanchez added.
Sanchez insisted that he had no involvement in the killing of Eileen Sarmenta and Allan Gomez in 1993.
