Here’s a sneak peek of what the New Manila International Airport in Bulacan will look like once finished.
The Transportation Department has announced last week that the construction of the New Manila International Airport will start before the end of 2019.
Last week, San Miguel Holdings Corporation bagged the Php735 billion contract to construct the new airport which is expected to ease congestion at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
“It will make the lives of many air passengers balikbayans, OFWs, tourists, so much better and easier,” SMC president and COO Ramon Ang said in a statement.
The airport is expected to cater to 100-200 million passengers yearly.
“With four parallel runways planned, it targets 240 aircraft movements per hour,” the DOTr said in a statement.
“The project will also include the construction of an 8.4-kilometer tollway connecting the airport to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Marilao, Bulacan,” the Transportation Department added.
