Two Filipinas won the top two spots in a women’s bowling competition in Saudi Arabia held Saturday at Al-Gosaibi Bowling Center in Al Khobar.
Kryztine Cruz was announced champion while Irene Pua was hailed 1st runner up by organizers of the competition, the Saudi Bowling Federation.
Finishing on third spot is Saudi Arabia’s Nahla Adas.
The competition was participated in by 26 players from various countries including Yemen, Kuwait, Bahrain, Philippines, the US, and India.
A preliminary round was conducted which cut the number of players to half and allowed the top 13 players to advance to a semifinal round.
The top three players, two from the Philippines, and one from Saudi Arabia played it out in the stepladder finals where Cruz beat Adas 212-158. Cruz then beat Pua with 243-189 in the title match.
