Those booking economy tickets in the ‘Flex’ and ‘Flex Plus’ category, however, will retain their 30 kilogram and 35 kilogram baggage allowance respectively.

For business class ticket holders, baggage allowance for all fare types will still be 40 kilograms while first class ticket holders will retain their 50 kilogram baggage allowance regardless of their fare type.

The changes will be applicable to all routes except those to and from destinations in the Americas and travel originating in Africa.

Tickets issued before February 4, meanwhile, will follow the old scheme.
