Two foreigners arrested at NAIA for using fake passports

Two foreigners who pretended to be Guatemalan nationals were arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for using counterfeit passports.

Bureau of Immigration (BI) Port Operations Division Chief Grifton Medina said that the two foreigners were nabbed at NAIA Terminal 1 before they boarded their flight to Europe.

The arrest was made after immigration officials discovered that the foreigners altered their biographical address in their passports.

The foreigners were taken to BI detention facility in Taguig City for violating the country’s immigration policies.

Earlier, an African woman, who also disguised herself as a Guatemalan national, was also arrested at NAIA for attempting to leave the country using a fake passport.

During investigation, it was revealed that the woman used a fake Guatemalan passport and altered her biographical location.

The foreigner initially denied that the passport is fake but later on admitted that she hailed from the African country of Cameroon.
