The government of Sharjah declared November 18, Sunday, as a public holiday in celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.
In a statement released by the Directorate of Human Resources, work in the emirate resumes on November 19, Monday.

Earlier, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) also declared November 18, Sunday, as a holiday for employees in the private sector in the UAE.
With the holiday, workers in the public sector will have a long weekend starting November 16, Friday, until November 18, Sunday. Work resumes on November 19, Monday.
The same date was also declared as a holiday in the public sector in the country.
