The Institute of Electronic Engineers in the Philippines in the UAE (IECEP-UAE) has celebrated their 10th year of existence in the country in a grand gala event held at the Grand Millennium Al Wahda.
The milestone event was attended by Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Hjayceelyn Quintana together with more than 100 Filipino Electronics Engineers from all 7 emirates, as well as guests from fellow engineering, professional and community organizations.
In attendance as well were IECEP delegations coming from the Philippines, together with all of the past presidents of the chapter whose continuous support were acknowledged and recognized by the organization. Amongst the leadership of IECEP-UAE includes Bagong Bayani 2018 awardee and 2018 TFT Engineer of the Year nominee Jethroefel Ramboyong who served as the founding chairman of IECEP-UAE and the organization’s current president, 2017 TFT Engineer of the Year Louie Mel Maliksi.
The momentous occasion looked back at the achievements and accomplishments that the organization has completed in the past 10 years. The organization looks forward towards continuing to spearhead innovative seminars in order to advance the careers of Filipino electronics engineers as well as to support the Philippine Embassy and the Filipino community in the UAE.
