Some areas in UAE record temperatures as low as 23 degrees today

Several locations in the UAE on Monday, September 3, recorded temperatures as low as 23 degrees, showing signs of the beginning of the cooling off of temperature in the country.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) reported that five areas in the UAE recorded cold temperatures ranging from 23 to 26 degrees. These areas include Jas Mountain (23.5 degrees), Al FarFar (23.6 degrees), Ashaab (25.6 degrees), Al Wathbah (25.6 degrees), and Ras Ghanadah (26.5 degrees).

Cool temperature resulting to fog and mist is also reported in the western coastal areas of the UAE including Ghayathi in Al Dhafra area. Mist was also observed in areas such as Al Ruwais, Baynunah and Al Silaa. Due to this, NCM issued a warning to morning regarding the low visibility on roads in the areas affected.

On September 1, some areas recorded temperature as low as 21 degrees. Damtha near Al Ain welcomed September with temperature as low as 21. 8 degrees. Cool temperature were also observed in these areas – Ashaab (22.6 degrees), Al Wathba (23.6), Raknah (23.8 degrees), Jais Mountain (24.1 degrees).

Earlier, astronomers said that the Suhail star or the Lambda Velorum in the constellation Vela will be appearing in the skies around August 20-24, signifying the start of the cooling off of the temperature in the country.
