Former child star CJ Ramos arrested for illegal drugs

Former child star CJ Ramos admitted to using illegal drugs after being arrested by authorities in a buy bust operation in Taguig City.

Ramos, known for his role as Budoy in 1996 film “Ang TV: The Adarna Adventure” and as John-John in 2000 film “Tanging Yaman”, was caught red-handed while buying drugs from a supplier who is on the Caloocan Police’s watchlist.

Ramos, however, explained that he has quit doing drugs a year ago and was only tempted on the night he was caught. “Tiniis ko talaga, pero noong gabi na ‘yun natukso lang talaga ako. Na-one-time, big-time po talaga ako, nasa huli ang pagsisisi talaga,” Ramos told the media.

Metro Manila Police Chief Guillermo Eleazar said Ramos is not in their watchlist but assured that due process will be followed in his case regardless his status as a former child actor.

The former child actor said he wants to undergo rehabilitation if given the chance and advised other celebrities to avoid using illegal drugs despite the stress brought by long hours of work.

“‘Wag niyo na subukan kung may chance pa kayo itigil niyo na… I hate drugs. Di na ako magda-drugs kahit kailan,” he said.
