NBI warns against car selfies

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) reminded the public against posting personal information and photos of their cars on social media after they nabbed a man for the theft of a missing person’s car.

The suspect, who was identified as Heliwin Borromeo, is facing car-napping charges, reported PNA.

Borromeo sold a black Toyota Revo with license plate number NJO-863.

In a press conference, the NBI said that they traced the suspect from an advertisement by the buyer, Dennis Tan, trying to resell the car.

Meanwhile, the original owner of the car Honorio Pinpin, Jr. has been missing since August 2017.
