2 former OFWs nabbed for selling shabu worth P3.4 M

Two former overseas Filipina workers (OFWs) were arrested in a buy-bust operation on Sunday, July 1, after selling shabu amounting to Php3.4 million.

Las Piñas City Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) nabbed Laila Dolly Kamsa and Momina Kiaban Kusin in an open parking lot of a mall in Barangay Almanza Uno, Las Piñas City, reported Tempo.

Another accomplice, Kritinelyn Bermejo, was also arrested.

Las Piñas City police chief Senior Supt. Marion Balonglong said one of the policemen pretended as a buyer of Php1.5 million worth of shabu.

The police and PDEA immediately arrested the suspects while the transaction was ongoing. They were able to recover 500 grams of shabu worth Php3.4 million and the Php1.5 million mark money from the earlier purchase.

The suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
