Police nab 2 suspects in slay of Saudi OFW

Calabarzon Police have apprehended the suspects in the death of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) from Saudi Arabia who was shot dead in front of his home in Lipa City, Batangas.

Police Regional Office 4A director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar identified the suspects as Janet Manalo Capalad and Roel Dinglasan Guico.

The two allegedly planned the death of OFW Danilo Henson Teruel who just arrived home from the airport.

Authorities are looking into possible motives of the suspects. According to reports, Guico and Capalad, wife of the slain OFW, were engaged in a love affair.

Witnesses also saw Guico talking to the gunman, who has yet to be arrested, the day before Teruel was shot dead.

Guico was the one who picked up Teruel and his wife from the airport.

Upon arrival, the OFW was shot by the gunman twice to the head.

The victim was immediately rushed to NL Villa Memorial Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival.

The suspects were charged with murder before the City Prosecutors Office while authorities are still on the hunt for the gunman.
