A Filipino fan gave Miss Earth Belarus 2017 candidate Polli Cannabis a new cellphone after her previous one was snatched in a shopping mall in the Philippines.
The anonymous Filipino fan gifted Miss Belarus a smartphone as a form of appreciation for the kind words towards the country and its people despite the unfortunate incident that happened to her.
“A small incident like that will not tarnish the appreciation I have for the Philippines,” Polli said.
“In every country, the same thing happens, still it is nothing compared to the warmth of all the Filipinos who have shown their support and love not just for me but all the other candidates,” she added.
Cannabis also thanked the anonymous fan as well.
“I don’t who is it but thank you so much. Now I can connect with my family, with my friends, with my relatives and I feel very good,” she said in an interview with Umagang Kay Ganda.
Police said a group of three women and one man stole the candidate’s iPhone 7 on Oct. 14 while she was inside Robinsons Place Manila.
The winner of this year’s Miss Earth Pageant will be crowned on Nov. 4 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.
