When Filipinos gather together for pot luck, they share stories and smiles while enjoying savory dishes that they made from their secret recipes of ingredients handed down for generations.

Nowadays, what’s great is that Filipinos need not spend so much time and money on preparing these delicious meals any longer as they can already recreate the same taste with more affordable options as they incorporate canned goods from Century Pacific Food’s line up delicious, ready-made food that require little to no effort at all!

So may that be a birthday celebration, a town fiesta, or even a simple gathering with your loved ones, here are a few ideas for your next ‘salu-salo’:

Hot and Spicy Lumpiang Shanghai. Pinoys love an amazing pica-pica to start off their salu-salo – which is why Lumpiang Shanghai is almost always present at most Filipino households whenever there’s an occasion. With 555 Fried Sardines, you can easily create that unique hot and spicy Lumpiang Shanghai recipe that your friends and family will surely ask for second helpings.

Tuna Sisig. Move over Chicken and Beef – a healthier option for the popular Filipino viand, sisig can now be created with Century Tuna. This gives the classic sizzling dish a new flavor to explore as the dish is still reminiscent of its flavorful sautéed dish with onions and garlics but now infuses the flavors of the tuna in each bite.

Corned Beef and Kesong Puti Pandesal. Simple, straightforward, yet still delicious – this tried-and-tested sandwich perfect at any time of the day with Argentina Corned Beef will have your family enjoy different layers of taste with the mild sweetness of the bread, the saltiness of the cheese and the tenderness and juiciness of the beef.

Pinoy Breakfast Favorites. Who doesn’t love Tocino, Longganisa and Tapa? Filipinos would definitely enjoy servings of three of their favorite meals in the morning that’s great to serve on the table regardless if it’s already lunch or even dinner time! Argentina managed to capture the flavors that Filipinos love and incorporate them in quick-cook dishes that can definitely be a great addition to any salu-salo.

Philippine Mango Sago. A simple mixture yet still sought after – the Philippine Mango Sago created with Angel Kremdensada compliments the flavors of all ingredients. The freshness of the recently-harvested mango blends its flavors with the creaminess of the milk and extends its sweetness to the subtle texture and neutral taste of the tapioca (sago).

Polvoron. A glimpse of the Polvoron will easily take you back towards your elementary days as a snack you can buy off the streets. The polvoron, when created with Birch Tree Milk, makes the hardened milk candy have a firmer texture, infusing natural sweetness to each bite.

Leche Flan. A staple dessert in many Filipino gatherings, the Pinoy Leche flan is now made creamier and tastier with Angel Evaporada and Condensada as it highlights the sweetness of the egg yolk and the fluffy texture of each bite of the flan.

So the next time you gather up your friends or family to enjoy great tasting meals – you now have more affordable and budget-friendly options for your meals so that you can worry less about your wallet and enjoy both your bonding time with friends over delicious dishes that you have made!
