Palace says preparations complete for Marcos’ fifth SONA

Malacañang said all preparations are in place for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s fifth State of the Nation Address on Monday, with the President now focused on finalizing the speech he personally wrote.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the Radio Television Malacañang broadcast setup at the House of Representatives has already been completed for the live coverage of the annual address.

She said the Palace’s only remaining hope is for favorable weather on the day of the speech.

Castro added that President Marcos is spending the remaining time polishing his address after wrapping up meetings with Cabinet officials.

“Ngayon wala nang meeting with the Cabinet, more on the SONA na ito kasi tinatapos na niya yung speech for tomorrow,” Castro said.

She declined to disclose details about the contents of the President’s address, including whether it would contain major policy announcements or new initiatives.

President Marcos is scheduled to deliver his fifth State of the Nation Address before a joint session of Congress at the Batasang Pambansa on Monday.
