Kuwait’s armed forces said Tuesday that the country’s air defense systems intercepted hostile missile and drone attacks.
In a statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces said air defense units were actively engaging incoming threats.
The military said the sounds of explosions reported across the country were caused by the interception of hostile missiles and drones.
No immediate reports of casualties or damage were released.
Authorities have not yet provided further details on the origin of the attacks or the number of projectiles intercepted.
