The Ministry of Interior in Bahrain said security authorities have arrested 41 individuals allegedly linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) following investigations into suspected contact with foreign entities and alleged support for Iranian aggression.
In a statement carried by the Bahrain News Agency, authorities said investigations and security reports uncovered what they described as an organized network connected to the IRGC and influenced by the ideology of “Wilayat Al Faqih,” a political-religious doctrine associated with Iran’s system of governance.
The ministry said the 41 suspects were members of the group’s “main organization” and are now in custody, with legal proceedings underway.
Security agencies are also continuing follow-up operations to identify other individuals suspected of involvement in the network or related activities deemed in violation of Bahraini law.
The statement did not provide further details on the alleged activities, identities of those arrested, or the timing of the arrests.
The case comes amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing security concerns in the Gulf, where several states have previously accused Iran-linked networks of attempting to influence domestic affairs, allegations Tehran has consistently denied.
