166 Filipinos from Kuwait return home under repatriation program

A total of 166 Filipinos, including 154 overseas Filipino workers and 12 dependents, safely returned to the Philippines from Kuwait on April 9.

The group arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 and was immediately assisted by teams from the Department of Migrant Workers, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and other government agencies.

Authorities provided food, transportation, temporary accommodation, and financial assistance to support the repatriates upon arrival.

The latest batch is part of the government’s ongoing repatriation efforts amid tensions in the Middle East, in line with the directive to ensure the safety and welfare of Filipinos abroad.

Officials said assistance and reintegration support will continue for returning workers and their families.
