The Dubai Government has denied online reports claiming that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted a data center belonging to US technology company Oracle in Dubai.
In a statement posted on X, the Dubai Government Media Office said claims that the IRGC had launched or attempted an attack in Dubai were “fake news” and had no factual basis.
Authorities reiterated earlier warnings against the spread of misinformation, particularly amid heightened tensions in the region.
They urged the public to rely only on official government channels and credible sources for updates.
The statement comes after the IRGC previously warned that major US technology firms could become targets if tensions with Washington escalate further.
Iranian media had reported that the group threatened possible retaliation against more than a dozen American companies following attacks against Iranian leaders.
