A horse attached to a ‘kalesa’ can be seen losing balance and scrambling to get back on its feet after the carriage gets nudged by an incoming bus.

The video which was posted by Jan Carlo, 32, has caught the attention of netizens who felt pity for the horse.

“Awa po kasi, naisip ko ung kabayo kasi sugatan po and malakas po ung impact ng katawan nya sa pagbangga dun sa trike, kaya ko po pinost un kasi para matulungan po si lolo zaldy at ung kabayo nya,” said Jan Carlo in an online interview with The Filipino Times.

Carlo said he didn’t expect the video to blow up and that he feels happy that a lot of Filipinos are concernd over the animal’s welfare.

Carlo looked for the owner of the kalesa online to make sure that the authorities and those who would like to help can get in touch with the owner of the horse.

The bus company was reported to have extended apologies and help to the owner of the wounded horse. Local media outlets have also reported that Congressman Sandro Marcos has given a 10 thousand pesos financial support to Mr. Zaldy along with a grocery pack worth 5,000 pesos.

In his most recent post, Jan Carlo shared that the horse is now slowly healing from the wounds sustained from the incident.
