Workers in UAE can get 25 per cent additional pay for working overtime in Ramadan.
Those eligible for overtime for additional hours of employment other than the working hours of Ramadan can get 25 per cent additional pay of the basic pay. This can be availed under Article 19(2) of the Employment Law and any breach can be brought before the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) in a complaint, media reports said.

Earlier MOHRE on March 15, said the working hours for the private sector are reduced by two hours during the holy month of Ramadan in accordance with Article 15 (2) of the Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022 on Employment Relations, reported Khaleej Times.
The persons holding supervisory positions can’t however avail the benefits, the report said.
