Harrowing images as thousands of Afghans tried to board a plane at the Kabul Airport to escape the leadership of the Taliban group on Monday.
At least seven people have died from the chaos.
Viral videos showed Afghans trying to cling to the side of the plane on the runway.
Another footage showed that some people fell from the plane as it took off.
The US troops fired in the air to deter people trying to force their way onto a military flight. They have evacuated American diplomats and embassy staff.
Initial reports said that five people were dead but it’s unclear if they were shot or were killed during the chaos.
The Department of Foreign Affairs has started repatriating Filipinos from Afghanistan.
At least 32 Filipinos were evacuated and awaiting their confirmed flights from Doha to the Philippines.
The DFA added that another group of 19 Filipinos are also set to leave immediately.
An estimated 130 Filipinos are currently in the south-central Asian nation.
Alert Level 4 has been raised over Afghanistan due to the worsening security situation there.
Under this alert level, evacuation and repatriation for Filipinos are mandatory.
