The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines will now be available in all SEHA centers in the UAE for individuals 12 years old and above.
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines can also be accessed in drive-through vaccination centers across the country.
“Both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines are now being administered across 60 centers in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the Northern Emirates,” the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) said in a statement.
“Those as young as 12 years old can receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, while the Sinopharm vaccine is only available to those over the age of 16,” it added.
The UAE had approved administering Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine for children aged between 12 and 15 years last week.
UAE schools also announced that students aged 12 and above can also book their COVID-19 vaccination.
