Saudi official says Crown Prince ‘sacrificed economic gains to fight COVID-19’

A government official in Saudi expressed his gratitude to Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, for his commitment to combat and mitigate the impact of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Kingdom.
According to a report by Saudi Gazette, Minister of Health Tawfiq Al-Rabiah said the Crown Prince has sacrificed a lot of economic gains to lead the fight against the disease.
“Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman has sacrificed many economic gains in order to confront coronavirus,” Saudi Gazette quoted him as saying.
He added that the Crown Prince has exemplified great leadership through his meticulous follow-up regarding ways to tackle the emergency situations brought by the pandemic
The minister also emphasized that government sectors under the Crown Prince’s leadership have been working together in perfect harmony.
There are currently 4,934 COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom, with 65 deaths and 805 recoveries.
