Multi-awarded actor John Lloyd Cruz has confirmed that he is in a relationship with visual artist Isabel Santos for two years now.
Cruz admitted his relationship status during an interview with Boy Abunda on GMA News. The actor said that Santos became his girlfriend when he took a break from show business for two years.
“Si Isabel ay girlfriend ko. Boyfriend niya ako,” he said. The actor added he crossed paths with the visual artist at a gallery.
“Matagal na kaming magkakilala. Gallery nila ang una kong binisita and at the time na tumigil ako with ABS-CBN, napadpad ako sa pag-e-explore ng art, so gallery nila ‘yung una kong napasok,” he said.
Cruz said that Santos even taught him the importance of marriage.
“She’s very elemental sa mga ganyang bagay, kung paano namo-mold ‘yung nalabas sa bibig ko, nabuo sa isip ko, the consideration lagi for the two of us, lalo na sa kanya, laging nand’un,” he further added.
The actor said his co-parenting set up with ex-girlfriend Elen Adarna is also working for their son Elias.
“Sobrang panalo. Napakaswerte ko. Ang lupit ng naging role niya sa buhay ko,” Cruz said on his son.
“Hindi ko ma-imagine ang buhay ko. Ang dami niyang binigay na bagong kahulugan, bagong duties,” he continued. Napakyswerte ko. Ako ay nagpapasalamat kay Ellen at Derek dahil iniisip nila ‘yung kapakanan ng bata,” the actor added.
