Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha shared that she had lost her hearing in one of her ears after a bout with a life-threatening illness.
“Medyo bingi, hindi pala medyo. Bingi po talaga ang nangyari sa akin, dito sa right side ko, kaming mag-asawa,” she said during a performance in a Christmas special in GMA-7.
“Meron po kaming vestibular dysfunction kaya po kailangan namin ng alalay lagi,” she added.
Misalucha said that she and her husband were rushed to the intensive care unit (ICU) after suffering headaches and body pains.
“Meron lang talaga kaming patuloy na nararamdaman which is ‘yung dizziness, and pagkahina ng pandinig,” she added.
The singer said that until now she’s not used to being deaf in one ear.
“Sinabi ko sa sarili ko, ‘Okay, singing may not be for me anymore,'” she added. (TDT)
