Veteran actor Lito Legaspi has died in a hospital on Sunday morning after suffering from a cardiac arrest.
The 77-year-old veteran actor is the father of Zoren, Kier, and Brandon.
According to the report from the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), Legaspi was rushed on Friday at the Cardinal Santos Memorial Medical Center after he complained of chest pains.
He reportedly passed away at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
PEP reported that his body is still at Loyola Memorial Funeral Homes in Marikina City. The venue for his wake and funeral is yet to be announced.
Lito began his career as an actor in 1959. He was among the matinee idols and contract stars of Sampaguita Pictures.
He last starred in a GMA-7 series entitled “My Special Tatay”.
He was supposed to celebrate his 78th birthday this coming September 10.
