Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has a lot to be thankful for because of what happened to her in 2018, but she is all about preparing herself for what the new year has in store for her now that she was able to get the highly coveted Miss Universe title.
Through an Instagram post, Gray said that the year 2018 “has been one of the craziest, rollercoaster years of my life”. She said that she had a lot of experience that taught her significant lessons.
“I overcame fears and joined Binibining Pilipinas, trusted in my vision and creativity, found a family and support system in my friends and Favor Church, I released my first music single ‘Were In This Together’ for Young Focus PH, advocated for LoveYourself PH, travelled my beloved country and raised the Philippine flag on the Miss Universe stage,” she said referring to her achievements during the past year.
“Looking back, I can see that I’ve grown so much, as a person, in revelation and in faith. I have so much to be grateful for and in bidding farewell to 2018, my heart is full,” she added.
Gray ended her post by saying that she is looking forward to the next year which she said is “bound to be one of the most unforgettable years of her life”.
In an interview with Mega Magazine for an exclusive digital cover shoot, Gray also revealed her New Year’s resolution which is applicable to her time as Miss Universe.
“My new year’s resolution would be to be more present, to really enjoy every single moment, and to take more photographs. I really just let everything pass by and it is really nice and sentimental to keep keepsakes for yourself,” she said.
