LOOK: Jewel Mische is living her own fairytale abroad

Former actress Jewel Mische might have left show business a few years ago, but she is still enjoying her life away from the limelight.

Mische rose to fame in 2007 after she bagged the Ultimate Sweetheart title during the fourth season of GMA-7’s now-defunct talent competition, StarStruck.

She then went on to star on a several television series including Fantastic Man, Mga Mata ni Anghelita, and Carlo J. Caparas’ Kamandag.

Mische then moved to the rival network in 2010 and starred in shows like “Maria la del Barrio” and “Paraiso.”

Now, the former actress is based in the United States where she is having the time of her life with her husband Alex Kurzer and their daughter Asiah Rose, who was born on July 12.

Mische first introduced her daughter through a social media post.

“It’s about time. Meet our promised child, Aislah Rose. 6.8 lbs, 19 inches long, born at 7:32am, July 12th. The amount of love is insane. How am I? Beyond exhausted but I’m so love drunk I don’t even want to blink. We are so blessed. God is so good,” she wrote on Instagram.

Their house in Michigan, which they called “Rosewood Castle”, is made with stone walls and it looks like the little houses where Disney princesses lived.

Mische previously said on her Instagram account that the house was like a childhood dream that came to life.

She wrote on Instagram: “It was Spring of last year when I first laid my eye on this little ‘fairy tale castle’ up for sale. I cannot even begin to tell you the sensation I felt the first time I saw it. The house and its location not only appealed deeply to me, it is a childhood vision that came to life!”

Mische and her husband said that they have given it the name “Rosewood Castle” because of its natural surroundings.

“We are surrounded with trees, roses are my favorite, and everyone who comes visit says the same thing about the house—it resembles a mini castle!” she said.

So grateful for the wonderful husband that I have. He totally rocked coaching me through birth. It was so incredible and I was so impressed with him (it would’ve been totally fine if he just passed out, haha). – I knew he was a superhubs (super husband). . but this was next level and he has been so wonderful with Aislah and me as I recover. He is attentive, and loving and comforting. I know he will be an awesome dad!!! Sometimes I even think he will be a better dad than I could even dream to be a mom. Jewel had told me that her water had broke morning of July 11th and I was excited! After a long drive home to meet them in the hospital, only to find out after two tests, that her water hadn’t broken, I was saddened.. I was looking forward to meeting her already and holding her in my arms and letting her fall asleep on my chest ❤️ I was really sad, I was ready. Jewel still wanted the 25th, but I wanted my girl already! So we were sent back home, (the video posting happened and Jewel went to the store). It happened to be her 38 week check up as well that afternoon so she went to the OBGYN a couple hours later and guess what, they confirmed that her water did break and back to the hospital we went! (I was painting in the basement when Jewel called, because that’s what I do, just work harder through things and distract myself from it)… Well Jewel pulled back up into the drive way and she asked me if I check my phone.. I looked puzzled to her I imagine. A bit concerned and scared for my life, my girl, what was going on? Nope, I was painting.. couldn’t get to it.. “We’re having the baby today, my water really is broke! But I have no pain..” Well Jewel finally got her stuff around that I had been asking her to pack for at least two weeks (I felt it coming/I had all the pregnancy symptoms.. lol) So why not I be right on! Well when I heard the words she was coming I was amped excited!! Back to the hospital we went! And now, here we are. Nobody anticipated the extended stay at the hospital, but Praise the Lord, we were finally able to take little miss Princess Aislah to her castle!??? #AislahRose? ✨✨✨✨✨ #Rosewoodcastle —@kurzeralex ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My baby showers went from one theme to another! From pajama-themed to English (tea party) thrown by my dear mom in law, and to a vintage(ish)-inspired one hosted by the ladies from our church!!??? I feel so, sooo loved. When I met @kurzeralex it was enough reason to marry him knowing he’s my heaven sent husband.. what I didn’t know is that as I move to #Michigan the Lord will also provide the kind of family I never had in the Philippines and double, even triple my (quality) friends!!! ✨✨✨ To say I feel blessed is really an understatement. Everything just seems better in my life right now. God is sooooo good.❤️?? – Aaaaaand, just still so stoked and thankful for all the Baby Shower LOVE!!!! After 2 energetic, productive, and highly (self) disciplined trimesters – the last 2 weeks was a complete flip!?? Could barely get anything done, tired all day long and been craving junk food!!!?? Pretty sure baby is having a big growth spurt this third trimester!!!??? I honestly thought I’d had to cancel the cooking class the other day at home! But just when I thought I was starting to feel the “home stretch” of this pregnancy, I woke up that morning and my energy levels were back to normal!??‍??? — I know I need to post “belly pictures”, but my tummy is still small, (and depending on what I’m wearing) other people can’t see a baby bump yet, we tell people I’m almost 8 months pregnant and they insist there is nothing to see. ? They also comment on how I’m not complaining, or moody, or anything like that. They say I’m not treating my pregnancy like a burden, but I’m taking it all in stride. I guess that is because I feel so good and I really have been blessed in this way and to be honest it never occurred to me to act any other way… ? #dreambaby #dreampregnancy #theKurzersgrow??#RosewoodCastle ?

So this is my little fairytale ‘castle’.? Not for everyone’s taste but ever since I was young I dreamt of living in a cozy English/Tuscan cottage.. a little secluded along the river and sitting on a big bed of property for the kids and pets to run around on. My husband working in the barn and me gardening or cooking in the kitchen. #yupImthatkindofgirl ☺️— We started decorating inside the house over the Winter. The exterior and the yard is yet to be “JeweLified” this Summer.? Imagine English Roses, Lavender, Dahlias.. butterflies and hummingbirds… Water fountains and uplifting aroma of blossoming trees combined with lush green grass. There’s all sorts of antiquated marriage advice out there. Here's a favorite "Happy wife… happy life." Almost holds true, but not quite. Not to me anyways if it means that my husband is the one entirely responsible for my happiness. Over 5 years with @kurzeralex & married 3 years TODAY (???)… And I am a HAPPY WIFE because I do NOT depend on my husband as my source of joy. I am happy & content and most days, honestly, it has nothing to do with how Alex treats me. Note that us women have too many "needs" that no man can ever entirely fulfill. So during my web silence, one of the things that kept me busy was moving in to this little Tuscan cottage, secluded along the banks of the Shiawassee River, just a few minutes away from the "old" Kurzer Home.?Not everyone's taste but easily quite intriguing to anyone. Full of good vibes, charm, lady birds and spiders (! Came with the aged beauty but no plans of keeping any ?), this is a home where my compact living, and gardening skills will be tested again and again…! ???? On the inside are 2 full baths, a light and airy living area that opens into the kitchen and lots of unique features that we instantly fell in love with! I can't be more excited!!!☺️An amazing God given piece of canvas that is yet to be #Jewelified, or #Jewlexified. Haha! For this I need PATIENCE. And a creative mind to outwit the challenges of time, gardening in the shade.. and the head space to realize the ideas as they come to me!??? But we will get there. Even if slowly.
