Former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque and veteran news anchor Jiggy Manicad officially filed their Senate bid, Wednesday morning, October 17.
Earlier, Roque announced that he would run as a party list representative after President Rodrigo Duterte advised him not to run for the Senate.
He resigned from his post in Malacanang after almost a year.
Meanwhile, Manicad was announced as a prospective senatorial candidate under PDP-Laban days when he bid goodbye on his news program on GMA7 in April. During his COC filing, the news anchor said he is keen to go in the “next level of public service.”
