A woman in Egypt was arrested by the police after she threw her two sons into the Nile River.
Witnesses of the incident were quick to inform the police who rushed to the scene to rescue the children.
The police were able to save the six-month-old baby, named Hani. However, Mohamed, five years old, was not able to survive.
According to the police, the mother had a dispute with her husband who forbade her to see her parents. Both of them are detained and being investigated, reported Al Arabiya.
A similar case was also reported earlier this month when a father drowned his two children in the Nile to relieve them of his financial burdens.
