Motorists in Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi will get free parking for six days in celebration of Eid Al Adha.
The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi announced on August 15 that they will be waiving parking fees from Sunday, August 19 until the reactivation of the tariffs on Saturday, August 25 at 7:59 AM.
DoT also said that even though parking across the Capital will be free of charge, they still urged motorists to follow rules and regulations when it comes to their vehicles.
They called upon drivers to not leave their cars in prohibited areas and not to interrupt traffic flow during the mentioned days.
DoT also encouraged the public to follow the regulations on resident permit parking bays from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
Meanwhile, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority announced that there will also be free parking across the emirate for the same period of time. However, multi-level parking terminals are not covered by the free parking.
Furthermore, RTA also said that public transport timetables will change during Eid Al Adha.
Dubai Metro Red Line Stations:
– August 20 to 23 – Operations will be from 5:00 AM to 2:00 AM of the following day.
– August 24 – Operations will be from 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM of the following day.
– August 25 – Operations will be from 5:00 AM to 2:00 AM of the following day.
Dubai Metro Green Line Stations:
– August 20 to 23 – Operations will be from 5:30 AM to 2:00 AM of the following day.
– August 24 – Operations will be from 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM of the following day.
– August 25 – Operations will be from 5:30 AM to 2:00 AM of the following day.
Dubai Trams will operate from Saturday to Thursday from 6:00 AM until 1:00 AM the following day, and on Friday, August 24, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM the following day.
Dubai Bus:
– Main stations will be open from 4:25 AM to 12:29 AM, and Al Ghubaiba Station will be open from 4:14 AM until 12:33 AM.
– Subsidiary stations will operate from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, except on Route C01, which will operate around the clock.
– Al Qusais Bus Station will operate from 5:00 AM to 11:45 PM.
– Al Quoz Industrial Station will operate from 5:00 AM to 11:35 PM.
– Jebel Ali Station will operate from 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM.
