Authorities rescue sexually abused OFW in Saudi

The overseas Filipina worker (OFW) in Taif, Saudi Arabia who accused her employer’s son of sexually abusing her has been rescued.

Staff members of the Office of the Consul General in Saudi rescued the OFW named “Jenny” from her employer’s residence after the team coordinated with the Saudi police and Jenny’s employer regarding her complaint, reported GMA News.

Jenny said her employer talked to her about her complaint, returned her passport, and handed over her salary.

The OFW will stay at a social welfare shelter in Taif before returning to the Philippines.

She has also decided not to press charges against her employer’s family so she could come home to the Philippines as soon as possible.

The OFW earlier sought help from authorities after the son of her employer allegedly sexually abused her twice.
