Eighty Filipinos, including 63 overseas Filipino workers and 17 dependents, arrived in the Philippines early May 1, 2026, as part of the government’s continuing repatriation efforts.
The group traveled from Dubai aboard an Emirates Airlines flight and were assisted upon arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Government agencies led by the Department of Migrant Workers, along with OWWA, DSWD, MIAA, and New NAIA Infrastructure Corp., provided financial aid, medical support, food, temporary shelter, and transportation to their home provinces.
The repatriation is part of ongoing efforts to assist Filipinos affected by tensions in the Middle East.
Authorities said post-repatriation programs are also in place, including job placement, skills training, and livelihood assistance to help returnees rebuild and start anew.
