Marcos secures Php466.6 B worth of investment pledges in his Indonesia trip

Malacañang announced that President Bongbong Marcos’ first state visit to Indonesia has yielded USD8.48 billion (PHP466.6 billion) worth of investment pledges.

Press Secretary Trixie Angeles said that the investment pledges cover infrastructure for unsolicited private-public partnerships, including the C-5 four-level elevated expressway.

Some $822 million in investments in textiles, garments, renewable energy, satellite gateway, wire global technology, and agricultural food.

Angeles added that there is also a $662-million trade value for the supply of coal and fertilizer.

The pledges were made during Marcos’ meeting with Indonesian business leaders.

Marcos said that Indonesia is a potential supplier of fertilizer and coal to the Philippines to help his agriculture programs.

Marcos is also the current Agriculture chief.
