Behind every young Filipino star are their enthusiastic and supportive family who serves as the wind beneath their wings.
Peter Rosalita, a young Filipino who was born and raised in Abu Dhabi, took the internet by storm during his audition for the latest season of America’s Got Talent.
Peter wooed the audience with his powerful rendition of the song “All by Myself” by Celine Dion. The video of his incredible audition even reached Dion, garnering praise from the multi-awarded singer herself.
The audition got Peter four yeses from the judging panel of AGT and in the video, he happily rushed to the arms of his auntie, Mary Jane Villegas, who flew with him to America to help him with his journey.
“Kinakabahan po ako noon pero sobrang saya ko din na nakita ko siya sa na kumakanta sa napakalaking stage ng AGT,” said Villegas.
She shared that their family took notice of Peter’s talent in singing at the young age of six, with his eyes on the trophy for his family.

“At the age of 6 yrs old po ay nagsabi siya na sasali ng singing contest sa school kasi may trophy daw pag nanalo,” recalled Villegas.
Fast forward to the present, she was deeply moved when she witnessed that the judges decided to give four yeses to her young nephew.
“Grabe…sobrang pasasalamat ko sa Diyos na kinaya niya at sobrang saya din na naka apat na Yes siya,” said Villegas.
She hopes for Peter to have a memorable and happy journey in AGT, as he has captured the hearts of over 6.5 million viewers to date on YouTube alone.
“Sana maging masaya lang siya sa kanyang journey sa AGT at mas maging malapit sa Diyos,” said Villegas.
