For the fifth time in a row, Abu Dhabi has again ranked 1st in the list of world’s safest city in a survey of conducted by global statistic database Numbeo.
The respondents of Numbeo’s 2021 survey into the quality of life of world cities were visitors to the website that have responded to questions on a number of aspects of life including: cost of living, crime, healthcare, climate, traffic, pollution and safety.
The UAE’s capital got a high overall rating, but it’s the safety index of the city that stood out the most.
Out of 431 cities, Abu Dhabi clinched the top spot due to the low perceived threat of crime. It recorded a safety index of 88.46—the highest worldwide.
Major General Staff Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, said the solid ranking of Abu Dhabi in the safety index of the data crowd-sourcing website is a testament to the safety and security that the UAE citizens, residents and tourists enjoy.
