Pinoy nurse in UK dies while on quarantine

A Filipino nurse died while undergoing self-quarantine in his flat in London, United Kingdom.
Donald “Dondee” Zuelto, 51 was self-isolating himself after he was exposed to a patient exhibiting symptoms of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
On March 24, Zuelto was able to post on his Facebook account that he has attended a patient with fever, cough and other symptoms of the disease while on duty at Barts Health National Health Service (NHS) Trust in London.
He had constant communication with his friends for a week before it stopped on April 5, prompting his friends and family in Scotland to report it to authorities, ABS-CBN News reported.
He was declared missing before the London police discovered his body in his own abode. The police confirmed that Zuelto was self-isolating after suffering mild symptoms of COVID-19.
According to his friends, Zuelto was from Negros Oriental and serves as the breadwinner of his family.
They also added that he was helping his three nephews with their schooling.
Meanwhile, Zuelto’s friends already put up a GoFundMe campaign to help his family.
There are 18,000 Filipino nurses in the United Kingdom, the second-highest number of foreign health workers next to India.
