The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed 414 new coronavirus disease or COVID-19 cases in the country, bringing the total now to 3,660.
Eleven fatalities have also been recorded increasing the death toll to 163.
Nine people recovered from the virus, adding to the total recovery cases of 73.
Eight laboratories nationwide were able to secure the accreditation to conduct COVID-19 testing.
DOH spokesperson Ma. Rosario Vergeire said that all accredited laboratories were capable of testing 1,200 individuals each day.
“Ang target po natin ay 8,000 hanggang 10,000 tests kada araw pagdating ng April 14,” Vergeire added.
COVID-19 response chief Carlito Galvez previously said that they Re eyeing mass testing for COVID-19 on April 14.
He later on clarified that what he meant was quarantine facilities because the DOH is already conducting mass testing.
