DOTr deploys buses to ferry health workers to hospitals

Frontline health workers will be given bus rides for free starting today amid the implementation of Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.
In a press release by the Department of Transportation (DOTr), around 10 buses will be deployed initially to serve health workers beginning at 7:00 am (PH Time).
DOTr said there are two identified pick-up points for these buses which include the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) and the BFCT East Metro Transport Terminal in Marikina City.
Here are the following routes that these buses would take:

The routes are still subject to change depending on the data and requests coming from the Department of Health (DOH).
The bus service will likewise comply with the DOH containment protocols such as the observance of social distancing, body temperature checks, and regular disinfecting of vehicles.
The free bus service is implemented in cooperation and close coordination with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and HM Transit.
Meanwhile, Grab PH President Brian Cu has committed to help DOTr in transporting health workers to identified hospitals too.
They heeded the call of DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade and said their passengers will not have to pay for anything.
Details on the arrangement of the service will be made available soon.
