ABS-CBN says it’s not a perfect organization

Television giant ABS-CBN said that it is ‘not a perfect organization’ but ‘strives to maintain the highest level of integrity’.
The company is at the center of a franchise renewal issue after the House of Representatives decided not to hear their franchise bill which will expire on March 2020.
Adding to this, Solicitor General Jose Calida filed a petition seeking to nullify the franchise of the Kapamilya network.
Calida has accused the network of violating the franchise given to them by Congress.
The embattled network, in a statement today, expressed its gratitude to the public, lawmakers, groups and artists for the outpouring of support.
Here is ABS-CBN’s full statement
We appreciate the statement of Rep. Antonio Albano that ABS-CBN may be legally allowed to operate even after its franchise expires.
We also appreciate the commitment of Congress to go through the renewal process at the appropriate time. We trust in this promise.
We have issued our statement on the Solicitor General’s accusations, and as directed, we will submit a more detailed response to the Supreme Court within the prescribed period.
We want to thank everyone who has expressed overwhelming support for ABS-CBN.
Our passion to be of service to the Filipino is real.
While we are not a perfect organization, we assure the public that we strive to maintain the highest level of integrity as we work to deliver services that many Filipinos believe to be important and meaningful to them.
