UAE’s historic journey to space will soon be showcased in a special livery on Emirates’ flagship Airbus A380.
The Dubai airline revealed the design on Twitter.
“We are proud to celebrate the UAE’s historic journey to space with a special livery on our flagship Airbus A380 that will soon take off to the skies,” it said.
The design features the image of Emirati’s first astronaut Hazza Al Mansoori in front of the International Space Station (ISS).
It also includes a quote from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The quote reads, “The sky is only the beginning.”
However, Emirates has not specified when this will be introduced.
Previously, the airline created different designs to highlight worthy causes or celebrate significant occasions.
Al Mansoori returned to the UAE last Saturday, October 12, and was given a hero’s welcome by His Higness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, accompanied by his grandchildren along with many supporters that celebrated his return.
The space mission of UAE’s first astronaut lasted for eight days.
