More Filipinos are satisfied with President Rodrigo Duterte’s performance in the second quarter of 2019 according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.
The survey conducted from June 22 to 26 showed that Duterte’s net satisfaction rating jumped to a “very good” +68 from the previous record +66 in the first quarter. This is another record high for the President.
Eighty percent of respondents said they were satisfied with Duterte’s works up from 79% in March.
President Duterte’s positive satisfaction ratings were brought by an increase in percentage in Luzon areas.
The survey was conducted after the revelation of Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana of the ramming incident in Recto Bank.
SWS said that Duterte was able to maintain his “very good” net satisfaction ratings among all economic classes.
But his ratings have improved the most among the country’s poorest, those in class E.
