The 19-year-old recently made headlines as well when he bagged a bronze medal during 2018’s Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in the Middle East, as per a report from Rappler.
This gold medal finish at the World Cup Gymnastics will give Yulo that much needed boost in his aim to qualify and represent the Philippines for the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Another Individual Apparatus World Cup Gymnastics competition is expected to be held in 2020 in Australia to serve as another qualifying event for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, and hence will be sure to draw even more world-class athletes to compete for the slots.
