Two more foreigners were apprehended at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for using fake passports to leave the country.
BI port operations chief Grifton Medina said that a Chinese and a Columbian passenger were arrested for using a fake Guatemalan and Argentinean passport respectively.
The Chinese national, identified as Han Yujia, was arrested before boarding a flight to Bangkok while Columbian passenger Juan Arturo Carbajo was arrested before boarding a flight to Macau.
NAIA travel control and enforcement unit head Glen Comia said that the passports presented by the two foreigners were discovered to be fake when examined at the forensic document laboratory.
Both Yujia and Carbajo were detained at the Bicutan Detention Center for violating immigration laws.
