Russia revealed that two Chinese nationals have been tested positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus.

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said in televised remarks said that they registered the two cases in the Zabaykalsky and Tyumen regions of Siberia.

Golikova, however, downplayed the possibility of the virus spread since authorities have put the two patients in isolation.

The official added that they will evacuate some Russians from China.

“We are beginning to evacuate Russian citizens from Wuhan and Hubei. Three hundred people from Wuhan and 341 in Hubei,” Golikova said in the interview.

Flights from Russia to China have been reduced. Trips on major cities like Beijing and Shanghai will continue.
