Immigration deports alleged Japanese Yakuza member 

Immigration officials have deported a Japanese national over his alleged link with the Yakuza.

The 71-year-old Katsumi Ohno was reportedly a fugitive ftom Japan, hiding  from justice for fraud. He was deported yesterday.

The Bureau of Immigration said Ohno was escorted by the Japanese police and immigration officers brought him back to his country onboard a Nippon Air flight at 9:27 in the morning.

Ohno was arrested by BI’s Fugitive Unit last month in Pasay City.

The deportation of the Japanese national was sought by the Japanese embassy after they were informed of a court warrant that a Japanese court issued against him.

The embassy however did not disclose the offense of the fugitive.

Ohno is part of the immigration blacklists He is barred from returning to the Philippines.
