There is a newly constructed washroom or toilet at the Cebu City Police Office that is fit for the times amid discussions on gender issues.
It has a “gender neutral” section for males and members of the LGBTQ communities, the first of its kind in a police camp in Cebu Province.
According to Cebu City Police Office director, Col. Gemma Vinluan, the new comfort room was specifically designed to accommodate the members of the LGBTQ+.
She hopes that LGBTQ visitors at the police camp will be comfortable when they have to answer the call of nature.
The newly constructed comfort room building inside the Camp Sotero Cabahug in Cebu City has two rooms which are designated and with doors labeled as “Gender Neutral.” These can be used by both male and LGBTQ.
The third door is labeled and designated for “Females.”
